Die "Algenläuse" sind Kieselalgen der Gattung Cocconeis . Wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um die Art Cocconeis pediculus , die "Gewölbte Algenlaus". Diese Diatomeen heften sich an andere Algen und im vorliegenden Fall an Pflanzenblättern an. Aufnahme bei 1000-facher Vergrößerung.
In letzter Zeit kommen wieder viele Algenproben hier an. Bei genauerem Durchmustern finden sich fast immer bisher nicht gesehene Arten. So auch heute. Meist konnte man aber nur feststellen, dass das Interesse nach relativ kurzer Zeit nachließ und es mehrere Tage dauerte, bis der Aufwuchs von den Steinen gefressen war. Nicht so bei diesen frischen Klebsormidium sp., die offensichtlich als Leckerbissen über Nacht vernascht wurden.

Hell begeistert scheinen die Sakura-Garnelen zu sein von den Grünalgen, die ich heute von einem kleinen Spaziergang mitbrachte. Eigentlich war ich ja nur auf der Suche nach ein paar Algen für die Mikroskopie. Dafür reichen aber winzigste Mengen. So warf ich die überflüssigen Algen nicht weg, sondern wollte testen, was die Garnelen davon halten. Wie es aussieht, ein Volltreffer.
Klebsormidium sp. ist eine unverzweigte, sehr dünne Grünalge.
